A duet for newtonian mechanics and prepared piano is a live electronic performance piece incorporating a prepared grand piano and a physical model of a gravitation environment. 

The work uses Newton's laws of action, reaction, motion, energy, friction, and damping, to create a controlled environment for a live electronic performance or installation. 

The aim of the work is to harness the gesture and spectro-morphology of falling objects within a gravitational field and map their parameters onto a conventional instrument.
